• How long is the contract?

The first contract is for one year. Successful team members will have the opportunity to renew their contracts for another year or negotiated time period. There is no limit to the number of times you can renew your contract with WinBe.

• How much do I get paid?

The basic salary is ￥250,000 per month. We have a very attractive bonus system, including a guaranteed completion bonus of ￥100,000. Details of our incentive bonuses will be sent on approval of your resume.

• How much does it cost to live in Japan?

While things can be expensive in Japan, it is easy to avoid places which overcharge. Some things are even cheaper than in your home country. Your salary more than covers living and entertainment expenses and also the chance to save money if you want to.

• Where do I live?

WinBe offers a subsidized, furnished apartment, which will cost you no more than ￥60,000 per month. The utilities are the responsibility of the teacher. Please note that this is a private apartment: You will not have to live with other teachers.

• Is training provided?

Yes. WinBe provides a full one week training session before classes start. The majority of this training will be at our Tokyo office in Hachobori, with accommodation and transport provided. The start of the contract is contingent on successful completion of this training. In addition to the initial training session, there will be further teaching seminars as well.

• Do I get vacations?

WinBe provides three long vacations a year of about 5 weeks, plus most national holidays.

• What are my working hours?

The WinBe shift is 8 hours per day, which includes a one hour lunch break. The start time will depend on the school. Our full-time positions a 5-day week, with mostly a Saturday/Sunday or Sunday/Monday weekend. Any hours worked outside this shift, for example, for school events, will incur a ￥2,400 per hour overtime rate.

• Who do I teach?

WinBe students vary from school to school, but the majority of our students are children, but there will almost always be a mix of children & adults.
